DEFORMATION & WEAR ANALYSIS
By comparing point clouds or 3D mesh models captured through 3D laser scanning or coordinate measuring machine (CMM) measurements with existing 2D and 3D design models—or previously collected 3D scan data—we generate 2D and 3D deviation color maps that effectively highlight dimensional differences and anomalies. This process is particularly valuable in heavy industries, where critical components are frequently exposed to stressors that can lead to wear and deformation over time.
Additionally, by conducting multiple 3D laser scans or CMM measurements over a period of time, we can systematically track changes in an object’s dimensions or shape, offering detailed insights into how environmental factors contribute to deformation and wear. Our services also include a range of specialized inspections, such as alignment, verticality, roundness, perpendicularity, parallelism, levelness, roughness, cross-sectional analysis, and flatness checks, ensuring that each project’s specific requirements are comprehensively addressed.
We tailor every analysis and deliverable to meet our clients’ specific objectives, providing precise, actionable data to guide maintenance strategies and support critical decision-making. This comprehensive approach ensures the consistent performance and extended service life of critical components in demanding industrial environments.
